Had on tap. Clear pale golden body with a white cap and lacing. Honey, lighter hops, nuts, and herbal medicine aromas, not the most pleasant but bearable. Taste is a watery california PA, sweeter up front, nuttier and slightly bitter finish, lost in the middle. Body is watery, bright, and just not well integrated or clean. Pass on this one

Attractive clear amber color with a long-lasting foam in the tall tulip. Spritzy enough on the tongue. Pleasant warm aroma of malt, but something like a hint of cleanser in the nose. Light bodied.
Some sweet malt in the initial taste. Distinct nutty flavor with some roasted malt. This is rather bitter with an odd dank note. Slightly medicinal with a long-lasting bitter aftertaste.
I don't think this is one I want to try again. I like a cleaner, crisper, less bitter style. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Liticker's Liquor & Deli in Ocean Beach.

A: Pours a light copper color with a thin white head. Not a whole lot of retention to speak of.
S: This...does not smell good. A strange, wet cloth smell, toasted grain husks, a bit of honey, burnt rye bread and some bready malt.
T: I won't say it's as bad as the smell, but this really just isn't good. I know I'm drinking beer, but it just doesn't really taste like anything. The faint tastes I can pick out are the corpses of earthy hops, soggy wheat thins, bran flakes, toasted grains, lemon rind and regret. I like the super inappropriate label, but I should have stayed away from this.
