"The Kenosha Accommodation Train began its run on May 28, 1866, between Kenosha and the Wells Street Depot in Chicago.
Rustic Road’s Accommodation Amber is an American Ale with 2-row barley with some additional specialty Amber and Crystal malts and Willamette hops. The addition of Anderson’s Pure Maple Syrup® adds a dry, woodsy character and notes of chocolate to this session beer.
13.8° Plato 5.2% ABV 26.2 IBU"
Served today at the brewery. Quick review from notes. Dark brown, hazy murky body, thin tan cap of foam on the surface. Spotty bits of lace around the edges, lots of lacing down the glass. Nice roasty nose, light chocolate and maple notes.
Earthy flavors, some bitterness, with a smooth light bodied feel. Some malt sweetness, though dominated more by the maple notes. Dries out in the finish alongside a light hop bitterness.
Overall a nice session amber from this brand new brewery...
