Poured from the tap into a pint glass. Clear amber color with some red highlights. The beer has a small white head. The aroma has a nice floral scent. The flavor is fantastic, a hop bomb.

a tough ingredient to be subtle with, and these guys have done a nice job. just a pink hue to this one, very light on the hibiscus color, but a little red from some crystal malt too. a fine nose of floral hops blending seamlessly with the hibiscus. its clear to me immediately that citra and mosaic were excellent choices for the hops in it, they go perfectly with the subtle hibiscus in here. the flavor is just like the nose, a slightly sweet big malt base, with a little more depth than many due to some more caramel type malts, but its needed i think. the hops and hibiscus are pungent flavors but not over done, and they have a fine synergy. i think the mosaic is out in front of the citra a bit, but its dialed right in. a complex beer, almost passable as a straight up double ipa, but with this cool little summery wrinkle from the hibiscus. aside from the pumpkin farmhouse, i think this was my favorite beer i had here at atlas. they have a good thing going, some clever recipes pulled of well in a mellow environment. definitely go in for a pour of this if you are in town!

Pours a brilliant amber color with very nice retention, excellent lacing. A moderate at best floral and tropical aroma but good feel and body. A solid DIPA.
