Clear ruby-brown, thick creamy head, some lace. Warm malts, caramel on the nose, continuing on to the palate with a toasty grain husk finish. Mostly dry. Deep, warm, tasty all around. Light bodied, surprising and disappointing following such solid flavors.
A tasty scotch ale, brings the ABV without letting on. Warm and full flavored, but the body was very thin, almost to the point of being watery. A good autumn beer for when there's a chill in the air but you don't want something very heavy.
