Pours a dark golden copper color with apricot edges and a one finger white head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Sporadic spotty lacing left behind.
Boozy barrel aroma with charred oak and sweet and spicy spirt followed by vegetal pumpkin and earthy spice. Wood, bourbon and vanilla stand out without overpowering. Very vegetal pumpkin presence with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, clove and allspice. Nose isn't offensive but the barrel notes are kind of boring and the pumpkin smells very dirty/earthy and vegetal.
Lighter body than expected with a decent barrel presence that's nicely integrated into the earthy, vegetal pumpkin flavors. Spicy bourbon but not too hot with sweet spirit and dry, charred oak. Unfortunately, not as complex as the nose suggests. Earthy and vegetal with squash, pumpkin, allspice, clove, ginger and cinnamon. Mediocre with unpleasant pumpkin flavor and heavy spice.
