Poured from tap. Pours a medium gold color with a foamy head.
Very aromatic with aromas of mangoes, florals, resin and hops. Nice depth with the florals being the most noticeable.
Medium bodied, but it's all on the attack as the mid is thinner and the finish is pretty clipped. The notes of resin, florals and hops are all very nice on the attack, but it drops off from there.
I like the smells a lot. Too bad it dropped off on the feel, but the initial attack had real good flavors.

On-tap at Atlas. Served in a tulip.
A - Off-white foam with good retention settles to a thin cap, thicker collar, and splotchy lacework. Mostly transparent bronze body.
S - Well, there are plenty of Galaxy hops here - tropical fruits, light herbs, grapefruit rind, and a touch of sugary malt in the periphery.
T - Again, a hefty dose of tropical fruits and citrus, with some Crystal malt sweetness in another otherwise fairly neutral malt backdrop. There's a touch of astringency in the medium-high piney bitterness that dominates the finish. It's a little harsh but otherwise quite nice.
M - Medium body, pleasant carbonation, dry finish, with some nice residual hop resins. Light alcohol warmth is present, but not untoward.
D - I had two glasses of this, but it could use a tad more malt heft and about 20% less bitterness. I can see why Hill Farmstead doesn't have a "single" Galaxy IPA, as I imagine it's hard to tame the high alpa acid content without making a bigger beer. Still, better than anything else I've had at Atlas and promising for DryHop.

A collaboration between Atlas and DryHop, this is a single-hop IPA utilizing Galaxy hops. It pours a clear bronze topped by a finger of cream-white foam. The nose comprises grapefruit zest, orange zest, pine, and light caramel. The citrus is definitely coming through nicely, a hallmark of the Galaxy hops. The taste brings in more of the same, with the pine trying a bit harder to compete with the fruits, though it still doesn't quite succeed all that well. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry, sticky finish. Overall, a very nice fruit-forward IPA, one that makes me wanna see some more Galaxy-focused brews from these guys in the future.
