16oz pint consumed at Iron Goat. Not sure if it's a rotator or regular part of their lineup at this point.
Darker, orangey color to this. Good sized, creamy beige head, Initially. Spotty lace.
Bready malts and lightly floral hops are what registers in the aroma dept.
Malt driven, with a soft hoppiness riding shotgun. Not a flavor bomb, just a pleasant pale ale that isn't brimming with fierce hop notes. It must be said, there's no sign of the relatively high alcohol content
Medium bodied, with a mouthfeel appropriate for the style; not thick or creamy, not thin or watery. Just right.
Perhaps not the most authentic take on an English pale ale, but very drinkable. The amount of hoppiness is spot-on. Just don't have TOO many on a warm spring day if you're driving, as the abv will sneak up on you.
