On-tap at the brewery, served in a pint glass.
Rich brown color with a modest white head. Caramel and light charcoal scents.
A sweet brown ale with mild bitterness.

23(?)oz Mug Club pour at IG for $5.50 before taxes.
Dark amber color, with some rubyish highlights. Good sized beige head, with lots of lace.
Nutty, toasted malts in the nose, with a little bit of spiciness that I can't quite pin down.
Very drinkable stuff. Lightly sweet, but with a nutty and dry toastiness that keeps it from becoming insipid, like so many brown ales get, regrettably. There's also that little bit of spiciness I noted in the aroma.
Medium bodied, with a more substantial, creamy mouthfeel than a lot of brown ales . I'm guessing that's the oatmeal at work.
Really nice, drinkable beer if looking for non-hoppiness. I can see myself drinking this regularly on cool spring afternoons, and hopefully on future cold winter nights.
