16oz tallboy given to me by my friend Nehemiah, then manager of Iron Goat's taproom. Brewed in collaboration with Fremont in aid of the Washington Brewers Guild.
Poured into a Teku, this was a chill-hazed golden amber color, with a good sized off-white head. Lots of lace.
Juicy, tropical hop aroma.
Taste is like the aroma. Very reminiscent of mangoes and melons, with a little bit of citrus.
Medium bodied, with a slightly oily, resiny mouth feel.
Not bad at all. Somewhere between a juicy and more traditional west coast style IPA. Stands up well to a meal of beef kofta on garlic naan with some harissa. I'd drink it again.
