Taster flight at Iron Goat. Medium amber pour, thin layer of off-white head. Malty aroma, leather. Taste is malty and dry with a fair amount of bitterness

I filled a Tap-A-Draft jug at the brewery. Poured in to a pub glass.
Pours a clear mahogany brown color, garnet red when when held up to the light. Modest off-white head.
Smell is faint, an acerbic aroma of wet grain.
Taste is good, A bitter charcoal flavor upfront, with a sweet caramel flavor to follow, and a dry bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is light bodied but slightly cloying.
Overall a good red ale. A nice balance of sweet and bitter flavors in a nice drinkable brew.

Had this once at the tasting room. It was new at that point.
Pours a deep amber color with a white head. There is not much hop aroma which may be because they were leaning toward the irish side of things.
Overall the aroma and flavor seemed a bit muted for my taste. It seems too conservative for a nw brewed beer. However, there wasn't anything too negative about it either. Just an inoffensive easy drinker.
