Frightful weather is no match for Wonderland. A blend of five different malts lend a deep rich color & mild roast character refined by five weeks of lagering at near freezing temperature.

Can dated 10-5-2023. Pours a dark amber with a minimal head. Nice aroma of sweet malts and a slight nuttiness, with some stone fruit. Slight bitterness throughout. Very good for the style. 22 IBUs Rated 2-12-2024

Look: Mahogany on the pour, which drums up a nice tan head that builds up and quickly settles to a film, leaving a ring of lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly baked brown bread, raisins, toffee, melanoidin, toasted bread, dried figs, prunes, wafts of nuttiness, and light earthy hops
Taste: Kicks off with bready malt and a whole lot of it – layers of warm bread, toasted crust, and a little dough all in play and develop depth nicely while intermingling. Dried dark fruit weaves in and out, most noticeable in the middle, and mild earthy notes and tree nuts also peek in from time to time before the bread train returns to close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean, soft, and smooth on the finish
Overall: This is a damn tasty beer and a nice surprise as well. I’ve had a couple of beers from these folks since their cans started showing up locally and enjoyed them but kind of pegged them as an IPA-heavy brewery so this one piqued my interest and glad my curiosity took over as this is delicious and impressive. A nice Doppelbock with a ton of flavor, depth, and balance and one I’ll definitely buy again and highly recommend

quite a nice beer here, showing somewhat of another side to silver city that i had not really encountered before, this is patiently lagered, unique for winter in that it is not spiced, a neat approach to the season, im into it. the color is deep amber from the tap, good clarity, and a high rising tan head, airy and lasting, looks great. a richness to the nose, some european character too both from grain and yeast, sort of english and german at the same time, bready, baked, caramelized, kilned, warming, nutty, but not too sweet, this seems to have some hops to it too, and it presents as balanced on the nose, mighty robustly malty, but that works this time of year. its not quite as sweet as it smells, although i get a little molasses and maple to it, a long boiled sort of intensity to the grain, some dried fruity notes, raisin and fig, and a german kind of lager yeast it seems, very very clean overall on the ferment, nicely done there. i like it having more than a little balancing bitterness late too, a bit of a stronger build even though the alcohol is not really a part of the drinking experience, and this smooth body is also just right for this, not heavy even though the flavors are big. good attention to detail and overall refinement, a nice change of pace from what else is around for winter seasonals this year, i will go back to this one.

Taster at Boise winter Ale fest. Dark brown pour, clear, small off-white foamy head. Aroma is malty, brown bread, mildly sweet. Taste is malty, light bitterness and sweet notes. Right in the wheelhouse for the style.

22oz bottle of Silver City's Winter Wonderland lager. Pours like a brown ale and has a nice tan head. Slightly sweet and phenolic aroma. Flavor is relatively neutral, with a toasty malt flavor on the back end, a bit of warmth, and a dry finish. There's enough flavor here to be interesting despite being relatively mild for a doppelbock. Mouthfeel is excellent thanks to mild carbonation.

Clear dark brown with a golden edge, and plenty of foam in the Maredsous goblet. Long aroma of roasted grain and chestnuts followed by a butterscotch nose. Malty body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Tangy and sweet with candy and some leafy hops.
Burnt sugar and dark flavors with the emphasis on caramel. It's very sippable, a classic winter brew with just enough alcohol. This is the 2018 winter edition. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Haggen market in Burlington. Brewed in Bremerton, according to the label.

A nice malty winter brew. Smells of dark fruits like dates and plums. Taste is a malty smokey flavor with a sweet aftertaste and mild bitterness. A nice dark lager.
