Average example of a porter. The smell was coffee and something else I couldn't place. Not the bourbon smell or taste I was hoping for. The coffee notes were fine but not great. Great start of a beer but might be improved in years to come?

Little to no head. Thin mouthfeel. Acidic but not sour, like a shot of cold-brewed coffee poured into the glass. No bourbon or barrel character. ABV well-hidden. Thicker body and perhaps a different choice of coffee would be an improvement.
