I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at Deluxe in Seattle.
Appearance: rich brown hue with a clear body and a finger of creamy tan foam. Quite good.
Smell: quite sweet and malty. Not especially complex, but nice.
Taste: malty, toasty and sweet. Pretty much what a winter bock should be. Like the aroma, not especially complex, but quite competent.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a very smooth creaminess. Quite good indeed.
Overall: this is a very enjoyable bock. It's not overdone, and while it lacks complexity, it drinks real easy.

The color is amazing. Goes down smooth and malty. There is a complexity there too, but wished it had more carbonation.

Quite a robust brew with lots of flavor. Color is a dark copper in the tall Blanche de Chambly glass. Smooth and sudsy mouthfeel. A perfumey note in the nose. The sweet and tangy flavors are an interesting variation on the more watery kinds of Bocks. Roasted malt in abundance. Reminds me of a roasted Maibock flavor, with the sweet and darkly fruity edge.
Hops are quite shy, as the style suggests. There is just a little bitterness with the dark resiny finish. Hints of honey and blackberries. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at the Bellingham Food Co-op.

pint at Quinn’s, seattle
a: served in a standard shaker pint, the beer is a brown-amber color with some reddish hues coming through in the low light, appears hazed, head light and mostly absent
s: the nose features a wide range of malt aromas - the slew of malts used really shows...caramel/toffee sugars and diluted roast stand above bready pale malt aromas, a light brushing of dark fruit, earth, grassy hop aroma
m: the body is around medium, with carbonation on the light end - a little slack for my preference in this style, but not bad
t: similar in structure to the nose - earthy diluted roasts and slightly sweet/nutty flavors of toffee layered on a bready body, grassy noble hop flavors with a mild bitterness
o: a nice if not particularly special bock beer, it’s done well enough to make for an enjoyable drink, but probably not one I’d go for again

22 oz. Bottle Purchased @ The Ballard Market for $5.49. Thin wispy lace off white head. Clear dark bronze red color with dark ruby edges. No sediment. Mild roasted malt aroma. Smooth semi sweet roasted caramel fruit mellow flavored medium textured smooth rich Bock body. Mild hop lingering Roasted Black Cherry end. Fresh lively rich Dark Winter Lager. Much better than the Winter Bocks I tasted in my recent visit to Berlin.
