Poured from 16oz tall can into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: dark orange hue with no haze and two fingers of frothy ivory foam. A bit too dark for the style, but I like it anyway.

Smell: sweet malt with a nice yeastiness and a mild hop character. The hops are a bit lighter than I'd like, but otherwise a very nice aroma.

Taste: malty, grainy and a bit yeasty; there's a touch of noble hop flavor here as well. It's definitely a malt bomb, and that kind of works here, but a little bit more hops would be nice.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: it's a bit too sweet, perhaps, vis-a-vis its hop content, but this is still an eminently drinkable beer that I could see quaffing a lot of.

Look: Amber-orange body, one finger white head.

Smell: Stone fruit and herbal-y hops, mild caramel and breadiness.

Taste: See above.

Feel: Light-medium body, medium carbonation, balanced very well: not dry nor sweet.

16oz can with no clear freshness date poured into a can glass
A: Amber color (a bit darker than I've seen for the style) with a one-finger head that settles fairly quickly
S: Amber-malt forward, a bit more grain but not much else
T: Again very malt-forward, adds just a hint of hops
M: Malty, a bit sweet
O: Decent, no flaws but largely unmemorable
