Look: One finger brown head, black body.
Smell: Mainly dark chocolate and raspberry.
Taste: Dark chocolate, raspberry, mild oak, the bourbon barrel aging adds a brown sugar and chocolate liqueur aspect.
Feel: Medium full body, medium-low carbonation. Very mild tartness, mildly dry finish.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, with rosy tints when first poured, but appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin brown head that dissipates to patches with good lacing. Aroma of mild dark toasted malt, raspberries and hint of vanilla; raspberry forward. Flavor is dark toasted malt with slight char, fresh raspberry, light cocoa and vanilla. No bourbon notes. Finishes with semi-sweet raspberry and chocolate malt. Mediumm bodied with moderate creaminess and good mouth feel. A really tasty raspberry stout. I'm on the fence with fruit flavors in stouts, enjoying a light fruit touch and mild sweetness, but I find fruit tartness does not suit my palate in stouts. Time Goddess delivers for me with a very slight tartness as expected from raspberries, but nice mild, fresh raspberry flavor, lightly sweet. Chocolate flavors are light or covered by the fruit. The only negative with this is that there is virtually no bourbon nor barrel notes in the flavor. Maybe a hint of wood, but I'm not tasting any whiskey. I'm not going to ding it for the barrel aged aspect because it does a very nice job with the raspberry; fresh and well balanced. Silver City's Time series has been pretty good and I look forward to the next version.

I was looking for this for the last couple years. Raspberry stouts are delicious. This version tastes close to a standard non-barreled version. With another year in the barrel it could be amazing but as is it is very good. Would buy again but would prefer a bette barrel aged beer

Poured into a Pint Defiance tulip. The body is black with a brown finger head. Aromas consist of dark chocolate, raspberry, mild coffee, and vanilla. Flavors are the same. It really reminds me of a fruit filled chocolate. The feel is heavy bodied, with medium carbonation.
