Trophy Life incorporates a delicate, restrained malt profile, enhanced by bright, citrus hop aromatics, and finishes clean with subtle fruit esters emanating from our house yeast strain.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured an exceedingly clean and clear light yellow, only a couple shades darker than champagne, with just a thin cap of white head that quickly dissipated and left just the barest traces of lacing. This beer is pretty close to what my mental picture of the style should look like.

A slight fruit scent was at the front of the nose, with light grain and yeast in the background. Fairly similar on the tongue, no flavor really dominated, but they they all combined nicely.

The body was light and crisp, but was a wee bit sweeter than I had hoped. Drinkability was very good, I can see knocking back more of these. Easily. Overall, not quite to where I see the style, but, the closest overall that I've tried yet. Certainly worth a shot when you see it.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with half finger white head that disspates to a thin film with light lacing. Aroma of pale malt, light grassy and citrus hops, a little dankness, lemon citrus. Flavor is neutral malt, mild pale malt, a little graininess, grassy hops with a slight citrus note. Finishes dry with light hops and grain. Medium bodied with sharp carbonation. I was expecting an IPA, but this appears to be a new entry in the brut IPA field. Flavors are very neutral, a little dry with sharp carbonation, leaning towards a biere de Champagne, which I guess is the intent of the style. Nothing really stands out here as the malt is deliberately mild, and the hops lean towards a light IPA, but without much herbal quality. I've only had one of this style before and this seems quite similar. It does deliver the Champagne meets IPA experience, but I'm not sure this will be a go-to style for me; flavors are all too light.
