16oz can picked up at Total Wine in Vancouver, WA; 'coconut vanilla dessert stout'
Poured into a Level Belgian-style tulip
P deep mahogany/cola w/ a thin light tan ring; just a touch of translucence
N big toasted coconut and vanilla sweetness; inviting
T an absolutely delicious profile of light roast, sweet dark fruit, plenty of coconut, and vanilla, cohesive and so drinkable
Mf light-med bodied w/ soft-med carb, a bit thin/slick, but it works
O an amazing dessert stout, far exceeded my expectations

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a half finger dark khaki head that was fizzy at first, but ended up with a thick cap with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, coconut, vanilla and a hint of cocoa. Flavor is dark toasted malt with very little char, coconut, cocoa and vanilla. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Not that mysterious, but it is familiar, they got the frosting on a German chocolate cake, but with just a hint of the chocolate cake. The malt is subdued in flavor, but is quite supportive of the coconut and vanilla flavors. Coconut is the dominant flavor here, but at a pleasant level. Named a coconut vanilla dessert stout on the can and that's just what it is, and a tasty one. ABV well covered.

We got this at Total Wine in a pint can, chilled and poured into an imperial pint glass.
Look: hard poured, dark brown (almost black), two finger tan head that dissipated and left a nice tan foam that hung as it warmed. Light tan lacing as we tipped it back, but it didn't hang to the glass.
Smell: coconut cake, sweet malt notes, vanilla
Taste: holy coconut cake batman... exactly as described. Coconut, vanilla, malt, not bitter, trailing vanilla and booze that is hidden by the sweetness.
Feel: medium feel, not syrupy, light tickle of carbonation, not drying but thick enough to coat your tongue and make you want to drink more or drink some water
Super interesting beer. They call it a coconut vanilla dessert stout, which is exactly what it is. Coconut trailing and lingering vanilla, a little booze and a lot of sweetness. Bren really thought this one reminded her of her of a coconut cake she had a kid. It is super sweet and malty.
Cheers!
