This is one excellent beer in my humble opinion. It pours a dark reddish brown in color with a dark tan head that is very minimal. The aroma is sweet roasted malt and a hint of spiciness. Very good Red/Amber ale does not taste like a 36 IBU beer. Wish I had bought more. It's that good in my opinion. 36 IBUs BOD 10-4-2023. Rated 3-18-2024

L: Dark brown, foamy 1 finger head
S: Sweet dark fruits and bitter pine. Hints of chocolate, prunes, and cherry.
T: Toasty malt flavors intertwined with dark fruit. Cherry and prune upfront, along with chocolate, which brings a slightly syrupy sweetness. Lots of roasty flavors behind that; toffee, nuts, and coffee.
F: Moderate carbonation, not much warmth.
O: I tend to be wary of sweet dark fruit in beers, especially winter warmers and strong ales— it comes across as too syrupy to me. This beer does it right though, by leaning into roasted malt just as much as the fruit. Oh how I love this style, never know what’s gonna come out of the bottle.
