This beer pours a nice golden color, almost like a hazy, with a foamy white head. Aroma is light citrus and not much else. Taste is light orange and grapefruit. Light body and mouthfeel. Easy drinking, with 5% beer. BOD 5-16-2024

From the can after a corn dog at Mariners game vs. Astros. Just a routine easy drinker.

apparently a reworked recipe this year, never had it before so cannot compare, but its a well made if fairly standard pale lager, crisp enough and with some european malt character to it, but relatively unexciting other than for its high refreshment value in warm weather, which certainly counts for a lot in a summer brew. i suppose its slightly german, perhaps in the yeast and grain both, but the old world character is pretty restrained in this, probably used to be more prominent in the old recipe, not it just drinks like a balanced contemporary lager, with a little fuller body than many, some light unfiltered haze to it, a mostly pale malt complexion, and some lightly citrus forward hops on the end, subtly grassy too, minimally bitter, this is enjoyable without being boring, flavorful without being challenging, and pretty well executed overall. best when ice cold for me. i love summer type lagers, and high volume drinkers for this time of year, and this hits in that context just fine. i have been enjoying all the silver city stuff around idaho lately!

Draft at the Handlebar. Bright, deep golden, mild haze, small creamy head. Malty, bready aroma. More deep malts in the taste, creamy bready, fresh baked bread. Tasty!

L: A golden amber hue. Lightly hazy with good carbonation and leaving a large sudsy off-white head and some lacing.

S: Pilsner yeast pervades with a lagery biscuity aroma. Additional character provided by honey and citrus, and candy sugar.

T: A nice zap of citrus and hops bring you back to a sweet bread/grain/yeast profile with some honey and herbal notes. Clean tasting.

F: Heavier side of a medium body with smooth mouthfeel. Off-dry, extremely clean and rightly bittered and carbonated. Stellar!

O: I'd start by saying I'm and IPA/APA guy. Never into lagers. However this is so well done that I can get past that lager smell easily to a fantastic easy drinker that will fill the summer gap between the sessions that still leave me wanting. Don't let the cheap look of this can deceive you. This is good beer.

For a lager, a darker amber than expected. Clear, light head and traces of lacing. Your nose will pick up light notes of yeasty bread, not much else. Overall, the taste is a bit on the heavier side - and ale-like hop forward bitterness. It's not unpleasant but we expect a summer lager to be crisp and refreshing. Z-Z is not a bad beer but it's not what we'd expect from reading the label.

From a can: slightly hazy and yellow. Excellent tenacious lacy head. Cat pee in a good way, aroma wise, and grassy. Taste follows. Well hopped. I've done blind tastings against other commonly available local craft lagers and this one comes out on top.

The beer pours a deep gold with a massive white head I suspec induced by the geyser upon opening the can.

There was an initial skunky aroma, so along with the mini-geyser I was concerned. No need...the Noble hops come in and the unexpected aroma from a canned beer is gone. Flora and herbal, biscuit malt and honey. Seems a bit of toast is there as well.

Happy to say the taste is also clean. Hops, malts, honey in that order. Pleasant combo that seems to have been executed well.

The feel is creamy, with a slight leaning toward medium or evn heavy in the body. Pretty drying, mild bitterness.

Overall, this is a decent beer with some interesting flavors. The honey is nice, and does not come across as sweet, just the honey flavor. Nice beer worth a try if you see it.
