Served from the bottle in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Pours a deep onyx topped by a finger of sandstone foam. The nose comprises rum-soaked barrel, light chocolate, prune, harsh roast, anise, and brown sugar. The taste holds notes of rum spices, bitter roast, dark chocolate powder, light vanilla bean, molasses, and light plum syrup. The body is a light hefty, with a light moderate carbonation and a feel approaching chewable. This is a rather tasty stout, the rum barrel really bringing some depth to the proceedings.
