Poured from 375mL bottle into a tulip. Bottle is dated 7/13/16. Looks like it doesn't go by the "Buzzerkeley" name anymore, but this appears to be the same beer.
Appearance: rich orange hue with a dash of haze and a light effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy ivory foam that subsides pretty quickly.
Smell: tart and vinous with a little bit of fruit character and plenty of sweetness. There's also a dash of funk that prevents the aroma from being too candylike. Not too bad.
Taste: tart, with less funk than the aroma and with a little more sweetness, this is definitely more candylike and with a bit more wine character. It's bracing, but I really like it.
Mouthfeel: light body with a good carbonation and a zesty prickliness to match the tartness.
Overall: this is a bright, tart, and refreshing beer. It is eminently quaffable.

Calicraft Barrel Project, Zinfandel sour ale, aged in wine barrels with Zinfandel grapes. 8.5% ABV.
A: Very faint pink hue to the head. About 2 fingers. Tons of bubbles along the inside of the glass. Medium pink in the glass. Light sheeting. Slight lacing.
S: Bright berry aroma, with slight perfume. Faint oak.
T/MF: Rather dry berry flavor. Mild acidity. Seeds. Eh. It's okay.
Poured from a 375ml bottle, into a Belgian tulip glass.

500ml bottle into bowled stemware.
A: Pours a clear golden amber with a bright white, thick, and super fizzy and active head that slowly faded into a thin fuzzy film and bubbly collar that lasted the whole beer through.
S: Brett really shines with very earthy, musty, and spicy scents mixed with drying oak, Belgian spice, and mild vinous notes. Woody oak and zinfandel are definitely noticeable. A bit jammy.
T: Bright and tingly notes of zinfandel barrel hit first followed by spicy and sweet flavors of the base beer. The finish is lightly tart and full of golden fruits, with zin and peppery spice lingering in the aftertaste. The base beer lends its characteristic sweet, fruity, juiciness throughout.
M: Medium body, spritzy and tingly carbonation that really frothy up in my mouth. Drying mouthfeel with a clean, very light, tartness.
O: Delicious. Not necessarily better than the original, just different. Worth checking out.
