I can’t believe that I’m slowly coming round to American wheat beers. Fruity, juicy, mild wheat taste, and very, very drinkable given its IPA-like ABV.

Appearance - Pours hazy and orange in color, with a white, near two-finger width head. Fair retention before dying to a thin, broken laying of suds. Some small blotches and spots make the lacing.
Smell - An enticing tropical aroma. Passionfruit hits you with that tart, tropical note, while orange, guava follow beneath. Faint wheat can be found beneath that tropical fruity aroma.
Taste - Follows the nose. Hits you with those orange and passionfruit notes first, then a bit of that mellowing guava. Mild wheat undertone throughout. Finish follows strong with the passionfruit, while the lesser notes round it out.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a refreshing finish.
Overall - I came in thinking 'Hell or High Watermelon... ehhh" but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of flavor this comes at you with. Lots of passionfruit, orange and guava hitting your tastebuds in and evolving as it reaches the finish. Very nice. I just wish this I'd seen it sooner in the summer rather than at the tail end of it, because it might have my go-to swim time beer from the store up the street.

I think this may be the first time I've scored a beer the same in all areas. Not sure that's a great thing, but it is pretty good without any weakness or standout characteristics. The look is very hefeweisen / hazy ipa but without the amped bitter ipa hops. Smells fruity and fresh, although I'm not sure what the date code means: 20239. If it's julian date then should be recently canned. Taste is orange, mango and wheat, drinks very easily with proper carbonation. Nice and light body for the current 95 degrees day here. Might have to open another!
