Copenhagen 31/7 2025. 40 cl from tap at Bootleggers Craft Beer Bar, Rantzausgade, Kbh. N.
Pours opaque murky mahogany with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a sourish scent of grains. Toasted malts, biscuits and caramel. Sour grains and lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a noticeable sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
A dry Polish Schwarzbier.

Black color, wiht a beautiful cappuccino colored foam.
Malty smell, lightly toasted, with some sugary touches.
Same in the mouth, but the sweetness is a bit too strong.
Even if counterbalanced by some notes of green hop in the back.
Nothing really interesting, but drinkable.

A: Pours deep red, rather than black. The tan head is rather small and short-lived. Almost no lacings.
S: Roasted (not too heavy) dark malts, kind of dry. Ryebread. Some caramell and faint chocolate. Not bad, but not very exciting.
T: Tastes is dry and roasted. Dark bread, some chocolate, faint dark dried fruits. Some coffee and hazelnuts.
M: Body is medium to full, carbonation medium and aftertaste lingers with a dry bitterness for quite some time.
O: A standard Schwarzbier.
