Never tried an original Altbier, from Dusseldorf, just several interpretations from other places, but so far this is the best one. Amber coloured, transparent, smells of bread and pepper, slightly sweet and full, to be replaced by slight biterness. Excellently balanced, awesome with pork. Right there with Pinta's ZytoRillo, Viva la wita and Atak Chmielu.
