Dark brown color with brownish head. Aroma has dark, toasted malts, some milk chocolate, dark bread and earthy/resiny hops. Taste is roasty and resiny with a medium to intense bitterness, especially on the aftertaste. Medium body with medium minus carbonation. Quite smooth and easy drinking.

Got this one from doopie for my birthday. Cheers dude!
From a 50cl bottle into a pint glass.
16.5*P
IBU: 66
Hops: Magnum, simcoe, chinook and cascade
Yeast: US-05
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear light brown and yields a two finger, medium looking, fluffy, cream colored head with good retention.Clear brown body with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a full wisp and clings to the sides of the glass. Splotchy wisp remains leaving some good lacing down the glass. I would perhaps like it to be a little darker for a black ale, but it looks nice, otherwise.
SMELL: Definite cascade on the nose with grapefruit, some piney notes, touches of chocolate and some roasted touches as well. A bit of toffee in there too.
TASTE: Some toffee, chocolate and lightly roasted notes up front, with some piney flavors and melon as well. Pretty flavorful. Some good hop bitterness at the swallow with more roasted flavors and caramel too. A bold and lingering finish of bitter, roasted malts, grapefruit and melon flavors, piney bitterness and some toffee. Pretty flavorful and bitter.
PALATE: Medium body and carbonation. Creamy smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes slightly dry. Plenty of bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Good stuff all around. The look is a little light and it might be a little overly bitter perhaps, but it's still plenty flavorful and enjoyable. One I could have more than my share of during a nice patio stint. Quality stuff out of Poland and I have a feeling there's more to come. Cheers doopie!

Color: dark brown, almost black.
Foam beige, large, but fairly quickly reduces its size.
Aroma: fairly sweet, but nicely. Next to mature mango tangle of sweet oranges and tangerines, through which try to break through roasted malt with a touch of ash.
The taste is quite the opposite. In the foreground pronounced roasted malt, coffee, a little rough, and then ash, the whole wrapped in a delicate sweetness of tropical fruits and sweet citrus. From time to time sweetness is muted acidity of lemon.
Gentian is the only element that I do not really fit. It is too dry, ash. The declared value of the IBU is 66, felt rather twice lower. Saturation average, as most appropriate. Alcohol gently out after warming but do not bother.

Poured from a 0.5L bottle purchased at the E. Leclerc grocery store in Warsaw, Poland. Pours inky brown with a frothy tan head that eventually settles, good lacing. Nice aroma here of some dark malts and sweetness, a touch of hops in the background. Taste is really great, wasn't expecting this much bitterness and hoppiness for a beer from poland. Strong flavor of those sweet, roasted malts with some west coast hops in the background. Label confirms my suspicions on the hop varietals. Feels heavier than 6%, but overall one of the best beers I've had in Poland so far.
