Copenhagen 15/12 2024. 50 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Soft forms in different shades of brown on the can.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as a thin and almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of dark malts mingling with a citric scent. Dark roasted malts, coffee and dark licorice. Grapefruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet roasted undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Roasted and bitter - as a Black IPA should be.
