Copenhagen 17/11 2024. 50 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Tall can where brown and gold intermingles in different geometric forms.
Pours clear dark brown with a red hue with a big light beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet and pleasant almost sugary odor mingling an earthy and slightly boozy scent. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Dark chocolate and dark alcohol. Whiff of black licorice.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, a little viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a distinct bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Smooth, sweet and potent Baltic Porter.
