A- arrived a very foggy browinsh/orangy collor with tan head, that didnt last very long.
S- there is a slight smokeyness which is soon overcome by the smokeyness
T- there is a very plesent smokey flavor which rides over the tongue very smoothly and finished cleanly, pretty much dominates the tongue, but there is a slight sweetness present
M- medium/heavier body with a sharper carbonation
D- definietly an enjoyable beer of which multiple can be drank,

Not to be confused with the smoked porter, the Smoked Ale is a Bamberg-style rauchbier!
It has a hazy amber-orange body beneath a frothy head of antique-white foam. The head retention is quite good and it leaves some nice lace about the glass. The nose is sweetish and smoky, but not overdone. It's quite welcoming in fact, kind of like a side of bacon! In the mouth it's medium bodied and creamy smooth. The flavor is very well balanced, offering a bready, caramelish and lightly toasty maltiness that's accented with beechwood smokiness! A firm to solid bitterness backs it, and it finishes dry with a lingering woody smokiness. Very well-rounded, superbly balanced in regards to the smoke character, and very drinkable! One of the best American made examples of the style I've ever tasted!
