Hand pulled pints in the ’All Nations’ and the newly refurbished ’Elephant and Castle’, Dawley: one in Feb 2012 the second in March 2012.
Jim Preston is doing a grand job: his beers are both well constructed and interesting. This one pours a lovely chestnut reddy brown colour with an off-white head that always leaves good lacing.
The brew is more malt than hop but although both the smell and flavours are malty the hops play their part by ensuring the beer has a crisp bitter finish and is dry rather than malt sweet in the mouth.
