This one pours a curious amber color (I expect pilsners to be lighter ), but it's clear, with a small white head, and a good amount of lacing.
Smells like slightly sweet malt, grassy, and slightly piney hops, and a slight fruitiness.
This doesn't feel quite like an authentic pilsner, as it seems much hoppier than something traditional. The malt backbone also leads a little bit towards caramel, which isn't quite right, either. It is quite tasty, though, and that's what matters. The hoppiness is nice, slightly spicy, bitter, with a good earthiness to it, with the *slightly* too sweet malt backbone.
This is lighter bodied, very crisp, with a good level of carbonation.
They almost nailed this one. It was tasty nonetheless.
