We used a boatload of raw and toasted coconut along with pineapple puree to make this sour as close to a piña colada as you can get.

Slightly foggy with a pale straw color. One inch of fine white bubbles lasts a couple of minutes, eventually leaving spotty lace on the glass. Occasional bubbles wander upwards from within.
Pineapple juice is prominent in the aroma, and all but overwhelms the coconut. There is also some dry straw and not much else.
The components of this beer are all present, that being the Pina Colada, pineapple, coconut sweetness and sourness. Similar to the aroma, pineapple overwhelms the coconut. Mind you, none of these flavors are particularly powerful on their own. The sourness is far less than anticipated. A mild finish holds light tartness and warming of this beer should be avoided. There is a good bit of mineral flavor in the background, as well as a mild, yet distinct, brine.
The body of this beer is very light and almost feathery with a soft, smooth silk texture. There is possibly a suggestion of alcohol, and fine carbonation is spritzy.
This is one of those beers that suffers from expectations. While it is nice on a hot, sunny, Summer afternoon and it is refreshing, it only suggests what a Pineapple Coconut Berlinerweiss or Gose could be.
