This medium bodied brown ale uses a rotation of locally roasted coffee beans to create a beer that drinks more like an iced coffee. This variant features toasted coconut added to the recipe.

The beer is poured from a 16 oz can at cellar temperature. Date stamped 5/15/2024 as the canning date. the beer pours a light cola brown and rests a slightly mahogany color in the glass when I hold it to the light.
Almost no head foams up beyond a thin khaki colored edge layer.
Aroma is some roasted malt and dark chocolate and some mild coffee bean notes. No coconut on the nose unfortunately. I find that coconut is often a scent that drops out of beers or doesnt ever come forward.
First sip reveals a light to medium body with with fine, yet prickly carbonation. Finishes smooth texture and drinks fast.
Flavor is some roasted malt and a hint of lightly sweetened coffee and maybe a little bit of coconut in the background, but I really have to look for it. No hint of any hop character here nor any ABV hints as I drink this beer.
This brew isnt flawed anywhere, but I dont get the coconut that I was hoping for, its simply a fine beer that doenst blow me away as I consume it.
