Pilsner malt flavor forward, citrus notes.
Nice carbonation tickle on the tongue, bitterness is mild.

The beer pours a nice white and foamy head that dissipates at a moderate pace. It looks really nice. The beer itself is a clear pale straw color.

The beer smell is good. It starts off with a clean bread and honey note with an earthy and bitter hop note in the finish.

The beer taste is good. It has a piney, bitter, and sharp hop note upfront and a bready with slight honey notes in the finish to balance things out a bit.

The feel is good. It has a light body with tingling carbonation with a dry finish.

OVerall, a pretty good pilsner worth getting. It's good to have a nice drinkable one like this on a summer's day.

Clear, pale gold appearance with a large white head that left good lacing. Earthy, herbal, spicy aroma. Taste simply nails the expectations for the style; bitter but not harsh, focused hop flavor backed up with a solid malt presence.. Grainy, medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Finish is clean and crisp without lingering. Overall, a well made, pleasant mainstay on the local lager scene.

I am a big fan of this brewer and style so I feel this result is inevitable. Really impressive body and staying power in the head and a pleasant floral hop note and fresh bread in the nose. The flavor is well balanced with a little more sweetness up front and a touch of stiffness in the finish completes the cycle. Maybe a touch overcarbonated but this is solid effort for the style.

When compared to the industry standard pilsner urquel this beer really holds up well depending on your taste. Skipjack is more fruitful and bitter than Urquell. The Saaz Hops both in smell and taste make their presence known. Has a crisp carbonated feel in the mouth making it easy to drink.

If you enjoy a lager leaning heavy on hops this is one of the best!

Love this beer. A near-perfect American-Czech pilsner. Teensy (teensy) bit too sweet, and I feel weird about pilsners > 5.0%. Drink this on a day in late April when it's warmer than it should be and there's a perfect breeze and flowers are blooming. Drink it in early June when it's just south of hot and the sun is filtering through just-barely-mature leaves. Drink it in other months when you want a very good beer.

Appearance: As expected/desired. Pale gold with a good head and good lacing. For the most part, it looks like beer. But the lacing might tip you off that it's special.

Smell: Mild, floral, lightly grainy.

Taste: Real, real good. The amount of hop character puts this firmly in the "American-Czech" camp, but not in a n annoying way. Lots of unspecified flowers, grass, firm but not excessive bitterness. Malt is a bit honey-ish, lightly bready. Fucking lovely. But occasionally you'll think, huh, is that sugar? That's not right ... but the thought won't last long, Sort of like if you took Pilsner Urquell and ramped the hops up 2 notches, the sweetness up 1 not, and the butterscotch down 2 notches.

Feel: Good. Just south of medium-bodied; "slick." Appropriate carbonation. Hops give it a bit of a pucker.

Overall: I cannot get over this stuff. So, so, good. As I said above, it is sublime in warm weather; but it's always great.

12 ounce can poured into a Pilsner glass.
Canned 3/16/20

L: Clear gold @5 SRM, three fingers bone-white fluffy foam that fades to quarter inch cap inside of a minute, leaving some small clumps of lace and showing plenty of medium rising bubbles.
S: Moderate strength, floral and grassy hops, cracker and a touch of banana.
T: Mild bitterness, dry grass/hay, white bread, low sweetness, refined, balanced bitter to sweet finish.
F: Light body, medium carbonation, soft feel with a crisp edge in unison, easy quick finish.
O: Rather good and drinkable. To the best of my ability it seems to be in-line with the Bohemian/ Czech premium pale lager style.
