Berries are nice / With a bit of spice!
Cold Pro is a winter-styled tart wheat ale brewed with Cranberries and a hint of Cinnamon. It’s the perfect, shoveling-out-your-parking-spot-and-reserving-it-with-a-plastic-lawn-chair kind of beer. It’s a school’s-been-cancelled-with-less-than-an-inch-of-snow-on-the-ground kind of beer. A, the-super-market-has-sold-out-of-milk-and-toilet-paper-so-you-might-as-well-just-buy-beer kind of beer. So, when the weather turns cold, turn to the Pro.

I believe this beer may be different each year, as the version I had was specifically labeled as being brewed with tangerine. In any case, the 2021 version of Cold Pro was a real treat. Salty, sour, sweet, light and very carbonated.

Pours a pale amber. Smell is sharp, tart, fermented cranberry. Taste follows the nose, tart and especially sour cranberry prominent.. Almost champagne like consistency, with a malty aftertaste.

A decent fruited kettle sour gose. This one is high in the sour spectrum. Still ok but a little hard to get down and not as refreshing as other goses.

12 oz can poured into a Union Craft tulip pint glass. Pours a bubbly pink with a pinkish head. Aroma is not that strong on the cranberries - it's mostly just regular Old Pro salinity, wheat, and coriander. Taste is similar. The cinnamon is almost completely AWOL, which is fine with me. Overall this is a nice winter addition to the Old Pro lineup.
