Pretty looking enough, with a clear reddish amber body and a large, but short-lived, cream colored head. Dank aroma, leaning toward the resinous side, backed up by a noticeable grain bill. Fits the profile of a West Coast style DIPA (conveniently noted on the label), so don't go expecting some overdone NEIPA. Braced for an onslaught of hops but that was only a part of the story. Yep, the pine and a touch of citrus was there, but so was some caramel and what seems to be a healthy dose of rye. Earthy, spicy finish. Full bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a solid alcohol punch.
