P49/Four Winds Brewing 'Boys are Back in Town' nectarface @ 6.0% , served from a 341 ml bottle purchased for $2.50
A-pour is almost white wine looking from the bottle to a ever so slight haze in the glass with a small white head which quickly disappears leaving no lace along the snifter
S-fruity
T-sweet fruit start , tart swallow
MF-lots of carbonation , medium body
Ov-ok possible good wild ale

A: Cloudy amber liquid with slight white head around the edges of the glass.
S: Apricots, peaches, tangerines.
T: Heavy lactic acidity with orange and stone fruit flavours. Quite sour.
M: Thin viscosity with prickly carbonation
O: A bit too sour for a dry hop, it would have been a better beer if it was racked onto fruit at this level of acidity.

341ml bottle poured into tulip 12/5/16
A tiny suspended particles in a bright yellow body, a few big bubbles feed a short lived finger of foam that leaves no lace
S lots of stone fruit, nectarine, peach, apricot, all a little unripe, mineral water, tropical hops, pineapple, lemon juice, and a Sprite thing going on
T like biting into lemon with some spritzy seltzer, not far from the smell really, much more sour then I was expecting
M lighter bodied, many more bubbles then visible, turning my mouth inside out, canker sore inducing sorta sour, wow I wasn't expecting something this acidic but I suppose that's what their going for? slimy and dry with lemon juice lingering
O this one punches you face with dry mouth puckering sour, holy hell did that ever catch me off guard, went down in a flash so that says something
Almost to sour to be refreshing but "almost" being the key word, leaves you clapping your lips together wondering where the enamel on your teeth went. I'd buy this stuff outside of this 12 bottle mixer without hesitation.

Pours a very light straw colour with a thick white head that has fairly long retention. Lots of fruit on the nose; peaches, nectarines, apple, pear lemon and a dry hoppy bitterness. The flavour has much of the same flavours with a funky, sour tanginess. There is a lingering sourness at the back of the mouth that is balanced by an active carbonation. A pretty flavourful beverage.

This has an amazing tang. It was a pleasantly surprising donkey punch to the tongue.

6% abv, N/A ibu, 341ml bottle.
A - little hazy pale golden with one finger white head.
S - funky, nectarine, peach, dried apricot, tart, dry hop, floral.
T - moderate carbonation, medium body. lemon sour, green apple kick, which comes very front, refreshing and fade away fast. and then wheat after taste to balance. low bitterness. citrusy. interestingly i tasted some sweetness, or just my mouth's reaction to the sourness.
O - i like it, great marriage of jerkface 9000 (wheat ale) and four winds' nectarous. dont buy sour often, but since its in the pack, not bad to have one or two. good one.

341ml bottle poured into tulip.
Pours a clear medium yellow with half a finger of foamy white head that leaves blobby rings of lace as it recedes.
Smells of sour citrus, stonefruit, bready pale malt, soft funk and mild fruity hops.
Tastes of lemon candy, citrus rind, crisp pale malt, peach and nectarine fruitiness and more gentle fruity hops.
Feels soft and frothy. Medium-light with feathery carbonation. Finishes off-dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. One day I will have the real thing.

This brew proves, once again, that sours must be an acquired taste. I don't deny that this is a well-crafted brew. For me, though, I'm not a fan of sour anything - milk, candy, sourpusses, or beer. So, I will chalk this up to experience, but it is simply too tart for me to enjoy.
