Made in collaboration with Doan's Craft Brewing Company as part of the Volume 2 of the Brews Brothers Collaboration Pack - Pours a light brown quasi-translucent colour with a thin white head. The nose starts with some toffee, bread, yeast and a hint of apple or other tree fruit. The taste is a bit more subdued with the breadiness and malts coming forward and mild bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is in the mid-range with a fairly active carbonation. Overall a pretty good beer

On tap at Alibi Room, Vancouver.
Chestnut glow with off white film. 4
Honey roasted almond. 4
Dry cranberry, granola, some dough and sparkly lead. 4
Almost medium, round, even. 4.25
Super smooth - the knowledge is there. But the IBUs need to hit harder. Doan know how to make an alt, but that’s not following through here. Goes down easy, but not quite sticke. 4

341ml bottle poured into tulip 15/5/16
A clear amber liquid, lots of bubbles feeding a well sustained two finger tan head that has great retention and cakes the side with lace
S walnuts, hard dark toffee, bruised apple, some spice I can't place, wet leaves, nice earthy malty nose
T not far from the smell but slightly more fruit, still malty and earthy, some cocoa and faint fennel, I'm enjoying it
M medium weight, bubbles soften it up, slick on the palate, spiced apple sauce linger
O I wasn't sure what to expect but this one turned out to be pretty good, well suited for this chilly Spring day
Not a bad brew and one of the better I've pulled out of this mixer so far, I'd buy this stuff outside the collaboration box for sure

341ml bottle poured into tulip.
Pours a slightly hazy orange-brown with half a finger of beige head tha leaves loops of fat lace as it quickly recedes.
Smells of toffee pudding, sweet caramel malt, mushy orchard fruit and leafy green hops.
Tastes of more toffee-like caramel malt, browned apples and pears, faint cold coffee and sturdy noble hops bitterness.
Feels soft and frothy. Heftly medium body with creamy carbonation. Finishes off-sweet.
Verdict: recommended. Good beer for a cool evening.
