Weird is the word. Lots of floaty chunks which drops the appearance rating. It is nice to try. Very fruity. Pina Colada flavour.

Pina Colada Beer. Weird. Somehow, it manages to taste like an IPA that got mixed up with a bottle of Malibu. The appearance, complete with chunks of what I presume to be yeast and coconut, is very off-putting. Tasty, but weird.

341ml bottle, day 2 of 'The Great White Wonder Adventure Pack', a collaboration between Central City and Parallel 49 to provide a Beer Advent (I can say that, even if they can't) holiday experience. A 'pina colada' IPA.
This beer pours a hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with lots of floating sediment, and two fingers of weakly puffy, loosely foamy, and mostly just fizzy dirty white head, which leaves a few random specks of lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.
It smells of bready and crackery caramel malt, muted domestic citrus rind, fleshy coconut, and some plain leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and gritty caramel malt, coconut cream, brown sugar, pineapple and blood orange juice, and more leafy, herbal, and grassy verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite understated in its barely-there frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, as that coconut essence goes a long way here. It finishes off-dry, and essentially just like the titular drink, sans the rum heat.
Overall - this sure does a bang-up job of emulating a pina colada, with a little west coast IPA tossed in for good measure. I want to believe that all those floaties are just minced copra, but I dunno.
