Rrrrrawwrrr! Coming at you like a lynx, this winter IPA is the pick of the litter. Its unique combination of herbal, spicy and fruity hops is even better than catnip. You won't get scratched by this fierce kitty...as long as you enjoy one right meow!
Frosted Tips is a NW American style IPA generously hopped with Galaxy, Mosaic and Centennial hops. This beer is the perfect winter sipper with both earthy and floral notes as well as aromas of tropical mango and passionfruit and pine.

A: Two fingers of white head over cloudy amber liquid.
S: Minty, earthy, floral, grapefruit, passionfruit.
T: Passionfruit, pine, grapefruit, elderflower, earth, mint on the finish.
M: Medium viscosity and a dry finish.
O: The description says Centennial, Mosaic, and Galaxy hops but I suspect that there are German hops in there as well to provide the minty flavours present in the finish and aroma. A good take on a winter IPA.

341ml bottle - day 4 of the 2018 Parallel 49/Red Racer Alpine Adventure Pack. A Winter IPA - I like the name, reminds me of that douchebag hairstyle from a while back.
This beer pours a slightly hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly off-white head, which leaves a few layers of streaky and frilly lace around the glass as it quickly sinks out of sight.
It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, some blood orange and red grapefruit citrus flesh, a further muddled tropical fruitiness, and some herbal, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and crackery caramel malt, more orange, lemon, and tangerine citrus rind, a hint of exotic stone fruit, and more earthy, herbal, and piney verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly restrained in its innocuous-seeming frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, with just a hint of hop acridity maybe not making nice with the locals at this particular juncture. It finishes trending dry, the bitterness controlling the lingering game.
Overall - this comes across as a well-made PACNW IPA, with the piney and citrusy elements running the show. Full of flavour, no indication of the elevated ABV, and pleasantly quaffable, as I await the snow plows coming to fuck up my freshly shoveled corner lot.

Parallel 49 Brewing 'Frosted Tips' @ 6.4% , served from a 473 ml can
A-pour is light gold from the can to a clear gold in the glass with a medium white head leaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-herbal & citrus
T-rare to get a PNW IPA that's new , bit malty
MF-ok carbonation , medium body
Ov-just an ok beer , maybe because I tasted after 2 SN Celabration's
