Look: Very cloudy straw color. Pours with a fine head which collapses to larger bubbles and then nothing within a minute. Forms large bubbles on the side of the glass. It is too cloudy to see bubbles rising.
Smell: Mix of many things including evergreen trees, ripe stone fruits, hot peppers, and mild yeast. Swirling the glass pops up some overripe fruit, stronger evergreen tree resins, and a stronger yeast.
Taste: Very fruity with a mild chile pepper burn. The burn builds towards the end. Rather tart, which makes the stone fruit flavors pop.
Feel: Turns into a creamy foam and then larger bubbles which are a bit hard to swallow without letting it mellow out in the mouth for a while (not such a bad thing if you like chile burn). The carbonation is quite active, so it starts to get flat near the end of the glass.
Overall: Highly recommended for the jaded beer drinker. This is a fresh blast of flavors that aren't usually found together. It probably wouldn't work with a chile cook-out since it would only add to the burn.
