Brewed in collaboration with Oceanside Brewery from Sooke BC, part of the Brews Brothers vol. 5.
L: Dark red-brown, almost no head.
S: Toasty, sweet-ish, malty.
T: Very similar to the smell - toasty, malty, a little sweet.
F: Fairly smooth, just enough carbonation for a slightly crisp mouthfeel.
O: Straightforward, simple, and pretty good. I've not tried Oceanside before, but I'll be sure to check them out the next time I get a chance.

Look: Clear dark red-brown color. Very little head on the pour; what there was faded to a thin skiff over the surface within a minute. It left a little bit of lacing on the glass. Small bubbles rising from the bottom are hard to see with how dark the beer is.
Smell: Very light toasted malt tending towards an iodine scent. Swirling the glass kicked up a much stronger toast smell and a pleasant smell I couldn't identify.
Taste: Toasted malt flavor that gets stronger as it warms in the mouth. Mild bitters.
Feel: Starts lightly creamy but the bubbles quickly combine to form a more coarse foam.
Overall: Not very complicated, but it does what it does well enough. I can't really compare against a standard since I find bocks to be very inconsistent.
