Crown Jewels was aged in Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey barrels for two months to impart rich flavours of spicy rye, dark fruit, and charred oak. This full-bodied beer boasts notes of sweet vanilla, molasses, honey, toffee, and caramel with hints of dried prunes, dark chocolate covered raisins, and a long warming finish.

Pours a bit cloudy ruddy brownish ruby colour (though cleared a lot as consumed) with scant khaki head.
Nose of dark fruit, raisin, rye malt - whiskey and woody/oaky - molasses and vanilla. Some vinous character.
Tastes sweet and fruity and boozy - notes of caramel, raisin, brown sugar and dark fruits - a touch plummy - spicy rye, oaky, and vanilla - backend sharp earthy bitterness.
Sweet full mouthfeel with boozy and spicy fruity finish.
