Sampled from the 2022 pic a hop 8 pack. BLAH that was nasty. Pours very hazy almost opaque, light coloured almost khaki. Smell is not impressive but not bad initially, some muted tropical fruit and citrus rind. Taste is yuck theres a bit of tropical fruit going on, but the most apparent taste is this weird sort of almost like burning rubber taste. This taste gets more and more prominent the further through the pint you get, and becomes quite apparent in the smell as well. There is some solidified sediment on the head that ends up at the bottom, like little solid lumps of solidified sediment or whatever. It tastes so bad, and with the burning rubber almost chemical taste, you'd think it must be over 6.5% but it's not even 6%. Definitely the worst of the 4. So all together... 1 awesome beer, 1 ok, and 2 downright bad beers. So the problem with this is that you end up stuck with 4 bad pints from the 8 pack... I'll be hesitant to purchase the pic-a-hop pack next year... I hope they release it as a 4 pack - just one of each flavour.

Murky yellow-orange color. Poured a short head that turned into a thin skiff in a minute. Too murky to see the carbonation level in the fluid, but the side of the glass was completely covered in bubbles. Left small dots of lacing.
Mild barnyard smell dominates with some vegetal hops. Some yeast with a bit of light roasted malt; like a dab of white bread dough was floating in the glass. Swirling the glass boosted the barnyard. This dropped down to reveal a musty smell.
The yeasty bread dough came through stronger in the flavor as a base for much stronger vegetal hops. Medium-mild bitters. Mild barnyard popping in and out. The aftertaste was mostly barnyard and bitters. A bit more hop character. A bit of a strange chemical solvent flavor. The bitters hung on for a while.
Light tongue tingling. Very creamy for a while until it turned to coarser bubbles, but more cream showed up as it warmed.
One of four IPAs in their 2022 Pic-A-Hop package showcasing individual hops. This is a great idea. Unfortunately there is no information on the brewer's web site about this, but web searches suggest they have been doing this for several years. Each IPA has a different ABV and style. I would have made them identical with the exception of the hops. This is next to useless as a way to compare hops.
The label calls this a "Hazy IPA".
Too much barnyard. Has an interesting mouth feel; getting close to a nitro stout. The hops almost manage to cut through the barnyard.
