Pours a little hazy, it looks clear but you can't see though it if that makes sense. Taste is mild, but not good. Has flavours that resemble the bitter rind of a fruit maybe, but not discernably citrus or tropical, more bitter. Soapy would be the other main descriptor that comes to mind, not even citrus soap, just soap. I loved the Mosaic, so does this mean Talus hops taste bad? I still appreciate the thought and effort put into single hop brews and hope to see more of them.

Hazy green-yellow tan color. Poured a tall head that turned into medium sized bubbles after a minute and then to a patchy skiff after four minutes. There was a medium flow of tiny bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Left long, horizontal strings of lacing.

Light barnyard. Medium citrus outer peel and zest. Hint of vegetal hops and some celery seed. Swirling the glass kicked up a stronger barnyard for a few seconds which was followed by stronger vegetal hops. There may be a hint of light roasted malt. Much stronger celery seed.

Medium bitters with a soft malt. Light citrus peel as it warms up a bit. Light barnyard underlies everything else. Turns more bitter as it warms up. The aftertaste is a stronger and increasing bitter with more of the citrus zest. Again there is a light barnyard under the rest of the flavors.

Light tongue tingling. Generally coarse bubbles. Somewhat oily.

One of four IPAs in their 2022 Pic-A-Hop package showcasing individual hops. This is a great idea. Unfortunately there is no information on the brewer's web site about this, but web searches suggest they have been doing this for several years. Each IPA has a different ABV and style. I would have made them identical with the exception of the hops. This is next to useless as a way to compare hops.

The label calls this a "Cold IPA".

This one is the best of the current Pic-A-Hop vintage, but still nothing to be proud of. The barnyard is tamed down, but still has a long way to go. The malt is very nice, but would be best used in something that could show it off.
