473ml can poured into tulip.
Pours a very dark earthy brown with one finger of chocolate milk head that leaves splotches of sudsy lace as it recedes.
Smells of festive pumpkin spices, blackstrap molasses, unsweetened cocoa powder, cold black coffee, licorice and wet ash.
Tastes of pumpkin spiced chocolate espresso, roasted caramel malt, toasted bread crust drizzled with molasses, black licorice and more smoky ash.
Feels soft and thick. Full bodied with silky carbonation. Finishes chewy.
Verdict: Highly recommended. Great for drinking while you watch the last couple horror movies of the season.

Poured from a 473ml can.
Not a bad porter the Pumpkin is there but in the background, some nice licorice flavors that stand out.
I bought one to try and that is all i need. An ok Porter though.

Very dark brown in color with some rich plum highlights to it when held up to the light, very fizzy with finger width of brown colored head that has middling retention but leaves a replenishing ring of head along the edge of the glass sustained by the active carbonation.
Sweet aroma to it, good amount of molasses and dark rum to it with some faint licorice notes to it and a note of pumpkin spices on the back-end.
Dark sweet tasting flavor forward, with a dark malty, molasses flavor and some vague back of the palate sour hints of something like a fruity coffee or dark chocolate with some ghostly tannin's tones of a black currant or red wine.
Finishes with no discernible pumpkin flavor to it but with an aromatic brown sugar quality on the palate and some spices on the back-end with little bits of licorice, chicory, cloves and cinnamon that linger onto the aftertaste along with a black coffee sourness and slight boozy rum hints.

Can: Poured a black color porter with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some light chocolate notes and residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of light chocolate notes with some light roasted malt notes and some subtle cinnamon notes are also perceptible. Body is light with good carbonation. Not bad but a bit lighter than expected and pumpkin notes are very hard to distinguish.

Pours a deep dark brown pushing towards black with a thin mocha head. Aroma is dark chocolate, smooth roasted coffee; not much pumpkin noted. Taste is smooth malty coffee and dark chocolate; very subtle/muted pumpkin. Sweet full bodied finish - yet something I can not explain - this is good but not great.

6.5% ABV, 11 IBU, 650ml bottle (2015).
A - dark brown almost black with less than half finger head, which fade out really fast.
S - pumpkin, nutmeg right away, pumpkin pie sweetness, can't really get the porter characteristic from it.
T - reasonable carbonation. decent pumpkin taste, vanilla sweet lingering, dark coco bitterness, surprisingly hoppy as of 11 ibu.
O - it sounds like a very good combination of pumkin ale n a porter, no big expectation so no disappointment. average beer, but it's pumpkin season, gotta have one or two locally.
