A different lager due to the Sorachi Ace hops. The hops are citrus but also a lemongrass note as well. The well aged lager works with the hops to create a different and interesting beer. Well worth trying . P49 are showing that they are really trying to showcase different hops and styles.

Sorry, not sure which category is most fitting for this beer. None of them seems quite right for a pilsner brewed with Japanese hops.

From the label: "If someone tries to sweep your legs, offer them this lemony, single hop pilsner brewed with Japanese Sorachi Ace hops. It will distract them long enough for you to embark on months of intense and thoughtful Karate training (or run away)."

Poured from a 650ml bottle bought at the BCLS on Commercial Drive, Vancouver.

A: very clear yellow-gold, bubbly, with lots of head and good retention.
S: a bit yeasty, maybe a hint of citrus, not very fragrant.
T: Well, I'll admit I don't get excited about pilsner, and I only bought this one because of which brewery made it. This is pretty good, though. If I say any more, I feel like it'll be more about my lack of excitement for this style of beer than about this beer in particular, so I'll leave it at that.
F: Good.

Would I buy it again? Maybe.
