Presentation: Draft, served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: The tan colored, one finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind a thin foam layer and lots of lacing in patches and rings all over the glass. It's an extremely dark brown, almost black color.
Smell: There's dark chocolate, coffee, cinnamon and a hint if alcohol.
Taste: It starts off with some malty sweetness and then transitions into more bitter flavors of coffee and dark chocolate. It finishes with a rich smokiness in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: It's thick, rich and creamy with medium carbonation.
Overall: A classic Russian Imperial stout with a great flavor and texture.

On tap at the brewery and served in a snifter. Dark black with a beautiful coffee colored head that was about two inches thick, looks really nice. Aroma was dark malts, inviting. Flavor was a definite licorice, roasted malts, not much bitterness. This definitely stands out amongst all the American Imperial Stouts on the scene. Nice beer, worth ordering a growler if they'd sell it.
