This is a good English bitter, not supremely bitter but just enough to know what you're getting. I had the cask version because why wouldn't you? Very light and easy to drink, this one is still full of flavor. Good work here.

Had on cask at the brewery
On arrival a nice nitro style cascade with a 1 finger head in the 10oz pour, very fine. The cask means very light carbonation on this one. The body is a solid dark brownish red amber. Nice lacing.
Aroma is a nice English ale with a bit of fermentation funk that's almost smoky. Aroma is quite dry despite the darker color without a lot of hops and a lot of the malt is covered by the yeast, likely because of the lower abv.
Taste is a lot ore fun than the aroma a light caramel malt sweetness followed by a nice roasty nutty overall malt note. A light slightly floral but mostly bitter English hopping is present. Simple drinkable but dark and lightly hoppy.
Feel is super smooth with another nitro style smoothness. Not the most carbonated beer but it's still very drinkable. The finish is long but surprisingly dry. Still very smooth and drinkable but a bit dry.
Overall a very nice and drinkable cask ale. A bit more fun than fullers and extra nutty. Very smooth and it feels way bigger than it is.
