my first beer from these guys, what a hilarious name. fortunately, its serious beer, a well done new england style ipa, brightly dry hopped and juicy, but also with a cool bitterness that helps it finish. its not so hazy that it looks gross from the tap, and has a little more of an orange glow to it than a lot of these, which are trending paler by the day it seems. head is white and sturdy and lasting. the aroma and flavor are nice here, hard to pick out the hop profile, familiar as parts of it are, it seems like a fair few in the mix, mosaic or amarillo more in the nose, and then something a little less fruity when i taste it, oily and west coast feeling, even a little sweet for a second with the grain, which i think is cool in one of these and a real point of differentiation here, bitterness eases in at the end. its all very fresh, a little heavy to drink on with what sweetness lingers and the higher abv and richer malt build, but its nice for a glass or two, and stands apart from a lot of the others, which i also appreciate. tasty brew, a little rough around the edges but i like the recipe. i will look for more from these guys next time i am out this way!
