Growler fill poured into a Spieglau glass.
The beer resembles your typical brown ale. Dark brown in color, transparent with a slight amber glow when held to the light. Thick off-white head that dissipates pretty quickly. The nose is somewhat weak and hard to detect. I pick up slight hints of bready malts, mixed nuts, and sweetness. Taste up front is of light bready malts followed by sweet maple syrup and hints of smoke. The overall sweetness of the beer is a little much. Mouthfeel is light and slick; nice bodied. Overall not the best brown ale I've ever had; pretty average. The flavors are mild and not overly memorable. However, I still like what offerings I've had from Turtle Anarchy overall and enjoy their beers.
